Davis of Detroit, Mich., is the guest of the Alpha Phi sorority from December 4th to 8th. Mrs. Davis is the district governor of Alpha Phi and is making her annual visit to Michigan, Illinois and Indiana Universities. She will be remembered in Gieencastle as Miss Elinor Smith, a former DePauw grad-

Today was the 56th anniversary of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hillis. Mr. Hillis recalled that there were seven inches of snow on the ground and j the mercury was four below zeio, j the day of their wedding. Of ! course it was in the horse and buggy days, and Mr. Hillis recalls that there was a bright moon, but it was terribly cold.

Epsilon Chapter Initiates New '•.{embers Epsilon Chapter of Delt-. Kappa Gamma held initiation services for two new members on December 3rd at 6:00 p. m. in the DePauw Student Union building. The new initiates were Miss Ruth Hoehstotler of DePauw and Mrs. Wanda Hazlett of Russellville. Following initiation members of the society enjoyed a dinner served in the Union building. Tables were beautifully decorated in keeping with the Christmas season and also carrying out the sorority’s colors of crimson and gold. The social committee had charge of the decorations. Members had an unusual treat when they were entertained by Miss Pat Clitheio, a student of DePauw, who gave a humorous pantoniine. The speaker of the evening was David W. Robinson, Assistant Doan of Students of DePauw, who spoke on Teacher Recruitment.
