guard opposite Bunnell, and sophomore Tom Johnson will team with Schrier at forward. Either 6’5 Ulmer or 6'3 McCracken will go at center. Coach Merle Rousey’s veteran Earlham club opened its season last week by winning two of three contests in the City of Richmond tournament. The Quakers droped a 78-76 decision to Southeastern Oklahoma, one of the NAIA finalists last year, before turning in successive wins over Centre, 75-60. and Manchester, 79-75, in an overtime. Probable starters include forwards Milo Beam and Tom Marvel, center Bill Adams, a m guards Jim Coulter and Eric Clark. Beam, a freshman from Richmond, is the only non-letter-rr.an. Although Saturday’s game will be the first between DePauw and Earlham since 1950, the two schools have been hardwood rivals since 1905. In 68 previous games the Bengals hold a 51-17 edge. Earlham won both parts of a home-and-home series in 1945-45 but dropped seven straight games to DePauw during the next four seasons. A preliminary game pitting DePauw’s reserve squad against a team from the USAF base at Rockville is scheduled to begin at 6 p. m. BENSON’ S ANSWER
