NEW YORK, Nov. 4—fUP)— A top spokesman for the nation’s car dealers tonight called for an end to the trend of ow down payments and many months-to-pay in teh purchase of new cars. Rear Adm. Frederick J. Bell Ret., executive vice president of th National Automobile eDalers Association, said the trend is causing a higher mortality rate and smaller profit margins among the countr’s 40,000 franchised dealers.
