Fathers Auxiliary meeting tonight at 8 p. m. DST. Important business. Miss Effie Stigleman, of Peru, spent the weekend with friends in Greencastle. Miss Eva Milburn has returned to her home after spending the summer in Peru, Ind. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Weesner and Mr. and Mrs. Ivor McMains of Greencastle attended the State Fair Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Goddard of Indianapolis are the parents of a 7 lb. 2 oz. daughter, Lucinda Rose, born Sept. 5. Mr .and Mrs. Randall Staggs, South Jackson street, are the parents of a daughter, born at Putnam County Hospital Sept. 2. Women of the Moose will meet I this evening at 8:30 at the Moose Home. There will be initiation. All members are urged to attend. Mr. and Mrs. Verna Zeiner and family returned Monday from a fishing trip in the northern part of Indiana and Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Wayne Arnold, Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Joe Girton, Jimmie Arnold and Peggy Broadstreet attended the State Fair Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. G^orgd Long and their daughter, Mrs. Louis Shroyer left Wednesday for a vaca-tion in Los Angeles, Calif., and other points in the west. The annual Homecoming and basket dinner of the Friends Church of Walnut Chapel will be held Sunday, September the 11th. (Services will begin at 10:30 CST. ‘Anyone welcome. Mr. a-nd Mrs. Oliver Benson and family, Bainbridge, were given an aquarium of one hundred and fifty, tiny fish by some friends of Terre Haute. The tiny fish are yellow and blue and very pretty. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Brown for the Labor Day week end were Mr Brown’s mother and sister, ' s. Mewborn and Miss Lois Mewborn, and the Misses Ruby and Ruth Webb, all of Atlanta, Georgia. The first meeting of the Greencastle Quarterbacks will be held at the Union Building at 7:00 p. m. tonight. Frank E. Allen, director of athletics at Indiana University will be the principal speaker following the dinner. William E. Etcheson, Jr., of the Roachdale Bank and Turst Co., is attending the annual twoweek residence session of the School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. The school is sponsored by the Central States Conference. The Christian Women’s Fe.Icwship group meetings on Thursday are Kappa, Miss Carrie Pierce; Upsilon, Mrs. Manford Graver; Rho, Mrs. J. B Crosby; Iota. Mrs. Paul Heaney; Omicron. Mrs. Willis Clodfelter and Sigma. Mrs. John Cox. Prof, and Mrs. Wallace B. Graves and children have returned to their home in Greencastle after being away for the summer. The Graves spent the first part of the summer in Iowa City. Iowa, where Dr. Graves had been invited to a series of lectures at the University of Iowa. They visited friends and relatives in Fort Worth. Texas the latter part of the summer.

Modern Homemakers Club Met With Mrs. Conyers Modern Homemakers Home Demonstration Club met at the home of Mrs. Lloyd Conyers on Tuesday, August 22, 1955. Mrs. Bee, the county nurse, show'ed a film on cancer that stated several w’arning signs of the dreaded cancer. Routine business was in charge of Mrs. E. J. Staub, president. Delicious refreshments were served to -14 members and 1 guest, Mrs. Raymond Reeves, by the hostess and her assistant, Mrs. Earl Foxx.

Wright Reunion field Sunday The Wright family reunion was held in Decatur, 111., Sunday. At noon a bountiful dinner was spread. The rest of the afternoon was spent in chatting, picture taking and a boat ride on Lake Decatur. Those pr - esent were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. L. Wright and daughters, Dorothy, Loren Smith, her three girls, Judy, Diana and Cynthia of Peoria, 111., and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wakler of Wright, Iowa; Mrs. Cinda Tate of Greencastle, and her five children md their families. Mr. and Mrs. lames Tobin and Nancy Kay, Mr. and Mrs. George King. Karen Ann, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Tate and Mr. and Mrs. Don L.
