Ind., Aug. 24—(UP)— Two persons were killed today and four members of a Detroit family were injured when two cars collided at the junction of Ind. 3 with a county road 4 miles north of here. The dead were identified as Jimmie Lee Allman, 28, and Liawrence Eli Coulter, 29, both of Hartford City. State Police said none of the Dickens family of Detroit was in serious condition Police said the car carrying the Hoosiers entered the path of the auto driven by Rudolph Dickens, 25, from a county road. The injured were taken to Blackford County Hospital.
LOWELL, Mass., Aug. 24.— (UP)—Boston and Maine Railroad officials today began investigation of the derailment of their crack passenger train Red Wing in crossing the rain swollen Concord River. A railroad spokesman said Tuesday night the Red Wing ploughed into a freight train stopped half way on the bridge racks. No one was killed in the crash but several persons suffered minor injuries.

INDIANAPOLIS, Aug. 24 — (UP)—The Indiana High School Athletic Assn, has assured Hoosier prep basketball players and fans of a site for the 1956 state high school cage tourney finals The association’s Board of Control, at a meeting here late Tuesday, renewed its contract with Butler University for rental of the Butler Fieldhouse. The tourney finals will be played March 17. The board also voted to accept Clarksville Junior High School as a modified IHSSA member pending inspection and approval of the State Board of Education. The school eventually will be expanded into a four-year high school.
LAGRANGE. Ind. Aug. 24 — (UP)—The body of Diane Wilson, 3, Elkhart, was found in Pigeon River seven miles northeast of here Tuesday night, more than an hour after she was thrown against a concrete wall in an auto accident. State Po^ce said a car driven by her father, Delbert Wilson, went out of control on a curve in Ind. 3 and struck the retaining wail, throwing the child out. Police searched the underbrush near the scene before finding the body in about seven feet of water 30 feet from shore.
INDIANAPOLIS. Aug. 24 — (UP)—A bandit who obtained $300 from an Indianapolis finance company with the aid of a gun was the object of a police manhunt today. Mrs. Marjorie Henderson, a clerk at the downtown Household
Finance Co., said the man cam* j in during the noon lunch hour, j pointed a gun and demanded noney. She handed him the contents of a cash drawer. The bandit fled when she told him the rest of the firm’s money' was in a locked safe.
INDIANAPOLIS, Aug. 24 — (UP)—State Conservation Director Harley Hook announced today that Indiana’s hunting season for ducks and geese will be extended from 55 to 70 day’s this year. The 15-day extension will provide Hoosier sportsmen with an open season beginning Oct. 22 and ending Dec. 30. Hook said hunters will be allowed a daily bag limit of four ducks and five geese, providing only two Canadian geese are included.
