CHARLESTOWN. Ind. Aug. 6 —(UP)—Charles H. Noggle, 16. Louisville, Ky., drowned in an old stone quarry near here Friday night while swimming with several other Louisville boys. The boys said he suddennly shouted for help, then disappeared under water. The Coast Guard recovered his body about three hours later.

HEAT VICTIM JASPER, Ind., Aug. 6 —(UP) —Linus Kluemper, 36, became a heat wave casualty when he lost the big toe of his right foot. Klumper had an electric fun trained on his bed, but he made the mistake of falling asleep with his foot dangling over the side. The vibration of the fan caused it to move slowly across the floor and clip off the toe.
