have received word erf the birth of a daughter, Barbara Florence, July 26th to Dr. and Mrs. Richard Edwards at Easton, Pa. Dr. Edwards is professor of Political Science at LaFsyette Coliege at Easton. Mrs. Leonard Witt announced this week that she had found a mushroom measuring five inches in heighth in her back yard here in Roachdale, she called in several neighbors to verify her story. Mrs. Witt said they found one this same time last year in their front yard. Mr. and Mrs. Thront Clampitt of Norman, Ind., called on Mrs Emma Clampitt Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Smith and family of Bedford and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ckimpitt of Jamestown called on Mrs. Cora Hendricks Sunday aftemoon. Mrs. Emma Hooser is spyending the week with her son. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Hooser at Indian aioolis. Last rites for Mrs. Carrie Plunkett was held Monday afternoon from the Chastain Funeral Home
with burial in Roachdale cemetery. Rev. Ray Britton was in charge of the service. Miss Caroline Riddle returned to her home in Chicago this week after spending the summer with her grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Riddle. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hostetter and family of Clayton are spending a few days with his mother, Mrs. Vera Witt. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Keck have returned from a vacation in Florida.
