FISHING FUN It seems as though the ladies have the edge in the Bluegill fishing, because every year, if they don’t win top honors in the Bluegill division, they set the standard so high that the fellows have to do some fancy fishing to stay even. Last evening Melba Mangus hauled a Bluegill out of the Midwest quarry pond that measured eleven and one half inches. This lunker weighed one pound, which is about as big as they come in local waters. First place was held by the entry of Billy Chadd, at 10inches, wtih a weight of 9 oz. Come on fellows. we will have to fish up a storm to beat this latest entry ....
