Shouldn’t they have said men are a little more inclined to both extremes of health than the ladies ? It seems to me that men are either awfully well or awfully ill. There doesn't appear to be any middle ground. You never hear a man say he has a "slight headache’.’ His head, if aching at all. is "splitting wide open” and you are hovering around with aspirin, fizz water and ice packs. And in fine fettle, a man doesn't relax with a weekend of cultural pursuit—reading or sewing or listening to records. He’s out hoisting

At this point Mr. Muzzy looked the hand over and announced that he would make his bid only if he lost no trump tricks. He laid down the ace of hearts, hoping somebody held the queenjack doubleton. When nothing happened he led another heart to his king. SPLITS HONORS Next he led his lone club and Mr. Abel split his honors, putting up tlie queen. Dummy’s ace won and now Mr. Muzzy led a small spade and finessed the ten

spot.

Mr. Abel won with the queen- - and was end-played. He had nothing left but black cards and to lead either suit would give Mr. Muzzy his contract. The king of clubs would be ruffed in the closed hand, setting up dummy's jack. Mr. Abel elected to return a tmall spade, hoping Mr. Muzzy row held the lone ace. But dummy’s jack was played and it won. Thus the defenders took only a I spade, a heart and a diamond. HEINSITE LIKES CLUBS "Poorly played, Muzzy,” said Mr. Heinsite, who is never satis- , f:ed. "You should have figured your best chance was to try and c et up my club suit. You should have led the ace of clubs and ruffed a club in your hand.
