dike said they will introduce labor legls'.r.tion in the House dm ng iks next few days. It will supplement previouslyintroduced bills to established a minimum wage and hour law give women wages equal to that paid men for comparable jobs, and aliow injured workmen t > choose their own doctors. The principal new proposal will suggest higher jobless pay for Koosiers out of work. The maximum - under present law F $27 for 20 weeks, but most unemployed receive less than that, because a precerJage of base pay is used in a formula to determine the amount a person is entitled

to draw.

Governor Craig suggested boosting the maximum to $35 foi 30 weeks. House Majority Leader John Feighner, R-Marion, sai Republicans have not yet agree-1 on the amount they will propose but it probably will approximate Craig's figure. Democrats dislike Craig’s ay p'roach. according to Rep. Jaek Caine, D-Evansville. He said the* minority will suggest changing the tornmJa, figuring entitlement at 5 or 6 per cent of base pay instead of the current -1 per cent. This would be mgre egiijtabje. j Caine said, because :t voojd giv higher unemployment benefits tc the low-paid worker. He said Craig’s plan would benefit only a few top-salarie l persons. STILL HI NTING EVIDENCI sumably, if favorable, it will be presented by the defense lawyer to the appeals court which i hearing Sheppard’s pica for a

new trial.

The court is no-t expected to band down a decision until late spring or early summer. Sheppard has been granted permission by the court to remain in a county jail here, pending outcome of the appeal. If it is denied, he will be transferred to the Ohio State Penitentiary to begirt serving his term. Rebel Spatters Refuse To Leave
