Special meeting of the officers [of the Deer Creek Coon Hunters Assoc, will be held tonight at the home of Warren Ensor, 701 Main Street. Mrs. Arthur Ames underwent major surgery at the Putnam County Hospital on Tuesday. Mrs. Ames is reported as recuperating nicely. Mrs. Cecil M. Harden, Sixth District Congresswoman, will deliver a Lincoln Day address in Miami, Florida, Feb. 17. She will speak to the Dade County GOP organization. Reelsville Adult Farmers will meet Thursday. Jan. 20. 7:00 p nr at the Reelsville High School building. Mr. Harris, county agriculture agent, will present the topic, Farm Outlook. The names of the Past Regents of D. A. R. and The Progress History Club were omitted in the | Card of Thanks for the Graver Nursing Home for the Christmas party. The nursing home appr. - ciated the gifts of these two organizations very much. Lieut. James Headley, U. S. Army Engineers, returned t > Greencastle Tuesday night after a year spent in Germany and France. Lieut. Headley is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Headley. His wife, Mrs. Peggy Headley, is a popular kindergarten teacher at the VFW Post 1550 Home. Miss Janet Jeffries, Miss Deanna Cooper and Miss Patsy Jeff’.ies of Roachdale are becoming tegular performers on the WFBM-TV Saturday night programs, appealing with the Hoosier Hodown group. They have been heard here quite often and have always proven popular where ever they have appeared. They will be a part of the musical talent which will be here for the Saturday night free show of the 1955 Putnam county ! Fair, which this year will come from the Indianapolis radio sta-
tion.
