Modern Mothers Study Club Meets This Evening The Modern Mothers Study Club will meet this evening at 6:30 P. M. at the East Side Cafe. Following the dinner, the meeting will be continued at the home cl Mrs. Robert Moore. 1013 So. College Ave. Members are asked to bring a ten cent gift. Mrs. Mable Herbert Hostess To Club The Past Matron Club of Cloverdale, met at the home of Mrs. Mable Herbert on Nov. 15th at 8 o'clock. The meeting was called tc order by the president, LaRue Gray. The collect and singing of club song were in unison. Roll (all was answered with epitaphs on cemetery stones in the 1<00 and 1800 century, prepared by Mrs. Helen Gray. Twelve members and two guests. Mrs. Jane Oanberi y and Mrs. Lena Trussell, were present. Secretary and treasurer reports were read by the secretary, Mrs. Mable Herbert, and approved. Rain bags were returned by all present, contents were checked and a large figure was announced. for which the president thanked all for responding so generously. Mrs. Markin annc/unced she was presenting the club with a large punch bowl and cups which is to be presented to the chapter. A very hearty applause was given her as thanks. Mrs. Talethia Ray read a very intci esting story titled, “What Can Wo Say of Our Country?” Peniy collection and reading of the closing verse were in unison. The club adjourned to meet with Mrs. Hallie Sipple for the Christnas meeting on Dec. 21st. Please bring gift. Responses will be given by Mrs. Nannie Furr.
