division. The fabric cutters struck last Wednesday when about 125 workers walked off their jobs charging the company was trying to institute a speedup. They voted late Monday to return to their ’jobs. Worker^ in three departments cf the air mattress division joined the fabric cutters, forcing the shutdown of the plant and idling about S.OftO other employes. The firm claimed the fabric
cutters went out because a survey was ordered to determine whether there was excessive material wastage in the department. The company charged the walkouts were “illegal” and said it would not discuss workers’ complaints until they returned.

Mr. Gerick is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Gericke former residents of this community and grandson of Mrs. Maggie Gericke
