Home Builders Have Confidence
FRAME THE PICTURE YOU SEE FROM YOUR NEW HOME
CHICAGO, Sept. 7.—(UP) — The Federal Reserve Bank o: Chicago said Monday that midwestern home builders are looking to the future with confidence. The bank said it conducted r. survey among residential builders in the midwest and found that almost all of them expect their volume in the next 12 months to be at least as great as in the past year. The bank said easier credit, particularly to veterans, is the major cause of the strong demand for homes. It said VA loans now are commonly available in the Midwest at 5 per cent down and 30 years to pay.

Supreme Court decision outlawing public school segregation. The proposed amendment, which would have to be ratified by the voters in the November general election, would empow r er the Legislature to abolish public schools should Negroes make an organized effort to crack the color barrier.
