Mom’s the word for “purse-string-holder" in many families. Skillfully, she buys what’s needed. Care* fully she budgets. Prudently she makes sure there’s “something left over” every week to put aside for the family’s financial future. No matter who holds the purse strings in YOUR family ... the important, purposeful thing is to save on a regular weekly schedule... in a savings account at this Bank.

Try dampening the string when tying packages for mailing. You'll find as the string dries, it shrinks, giving a tighter wrap.
Keeps Courage
BLINDNESS has not dimmed the courage of Gerald M. McTaggart, 30, a court reporter shown at his job in Detroit Ten months ago doctors told McTaggart they could not save his sight He told in his own words how it happened, “My mother was driving me to work. All of a sudden, it happened. It was like someone had splashed ink on my glasses. I took them off and rubbed my eyes. There was only darkness.” Doctors say blindness was caused by scar tissue from diabetic condition. (International)

Although refined and greatly improved, the principle of the modern cotton gin is basically the same as that developed by Eli Whitney in 1793.
• And the hundreds of thousands of Indiana homemakers who’ve already switched to modern electric cooking agree 100%! Here’s why. First of all, surface units of the automatic electric range get "cooking-hot” in seconds, transmitting heat directly to your utensils. As for results, your family will call you the best cook in town when you cook electrically. Electric heat is so constant and even, everything you cook or bake turns out more delicious than you dreamed possible. Yes, all this phts the added advantage of cleanliness. Electric cooking means no smoke or fumes to smudge your kitchen walls and curtains. But, see for yourself! Your electric appliance dealer will he glad to point out the hundreds of automaticelectric range features. Compare and you, too, will join the swing to modern electric cooking.
