That was where the seniorstudded team’s balance paid off as Bill Bolk got 12 points and Jack Smith contributed 13 (the latter matching ftvahsrtlle CWit-

fersonville scrap.
He made up-for that defection with timely firing against Evansville Central in the championship fray at Bloomington. Ever since Gerstmeyer lost that 42-41 thriller to South Bend Central last year, Sharpe and his hoys have pointed for the 1954 tourney. Their determination seemed their weakest point but it has carried them within two games of the coveted title. Standing in their path is a team Sharpe said he fears more than any other team in the finals. Well he might feel that way about it because Milan’s d** liberate brand of ball is the type Clinton used to end Tech’s string ai 22 near the close of the season. Sliarjie said his boys are playing each game as it comes up and he has centered his plans on devising a way to beat the Milan cat and mouse game. Gerstmeyer enters the tourney /j

WHERE’S THE FIRE* Hang on to your seat! That’s just the gang rushing over to your house because the rumor's gotten around that your daughter is planning to seme WHIZBURGERS at her party tonight. And you can leave it to the teens to know
what’s cooking.
For mothers who are trying to keep up with their daughters, a W hizburger is a divine concoction consisting of a patty of ground beef (Kroger’s, natch, for the best results on account of that famous 80-20 pure red beef to fat combination) m spoonful of Kraft’s Cheez Whiz and a Kroger bun. Better be ready with plenty of replacements because they'll melt •way like snowflakes.
Until next week.
