Miss Lucille Gillespie has arrived in Greencastle from her home in New York, N. Y. Miss Gillespie will be here for the funeral of her uncle, Dr. J. F. Gillespie. Mrs. Fred Vaughn, Blanche Vaughn, Geraldine McCammack, Nola Vaughn and Janie McCammack spent Tuesday in Indianapolis. They also attended the Home Show at the Fair grounds. Mrs. Fred White of Detroit is visiting her daughter, Mrs. William A. Unsworth and family. Mrs. WTiite returned with Mrs. Unsworth, who has been visiting her in Detroit for the past several days.

R. 1, was fined $1 and costs by Justice George Reifenberg when he pleaded guilty to a speeding charge. Arresting officer State Trooper Fred Neal said Pingleton was clocked at 70 miles an hour in a 40-mile zone on U. S.

Woman’s Bible Club To Meet Friday The Woman’s Bible Club of Gobin Memorial church will meet Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the home of Mrs. C. S. Curd, 109 S. Locust St. Mrs. Elva Parrish will be program leader and Miss Bessie Salmon will be assistant hostess.

FLOWER GARDEN MEETING Prof. E. R. Honeywell of Purdue Floriculture, •wall speak and show slides on planning and planting the flow’er garden Thursday evening, March 18, at seven o’clock in the Roachdalc Library. The Roachdalc Flower and Garden club is sponsoring the meeting. Mr. Honeywell is widely known as a grower of flowers and has judged at the county show here several years. The public is cordially invited to this meeting.

PLAN MEMORIAL the project. Another acquisition to the projected memorial is a painting by Albert T. Reid depicting a familiar legend about Abraham Lincoln. The painting, "The Meeting of the Two Great Emancipators" shows Lincoln viewing the old press in the Vincennes print >hop, with Stout in the background. Mrs. Jackson Hostess To Mt. Meridian W.S.C.S. The March meeting of the Mt. Meridian W.S.C.S. was held at the home of Mrs. Marvin Jackson.
