ROSE SEEDLINGS READY INDIANAPOLIS. Jan. t*.— tINS)- The State Conservation Department today issued a clarifying statement declaring it unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to buy, sell or trade in wild rabbits. The department has received a flood of inquiries recently, paiticularly from beagle hound field trial clubs, asking for permission to buy rabbits out of the state and bring them into Indiana f-.j stocking. Deputy Attorney General Thurl C. Rhodes said a mixup in the legislature caused passage of a law’ which is very severe. He said the law originally was intended to prevent selling wild rabbits for food but in the drafting and passage it became too inclusive and sportsmen arc not permitted to bring rabbits into the state even for sporting purposes. Plans are being drafted to amend the law next session of the General Assembly. CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE CLOVERDALE Burton Cummings, Minister. Sunday Bible school 9:30. Elizabeth Estep.
