New programs were handed out and a dona* ion was given to the Polio Fund Mrs. Grace Coffman was re-instated and Jean Bachert became a new member. Dues for 1954 were paid by all members present. Gravesides rites for the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Hart of Bainbridge were held January 18th at the Ladoga cemetery. The infant was born January 17th at the Putnam County hospital. The father of the baby is now serving in Korea. Mrs. Grace Newby lias r eceived word that her daughter and husband. Mr. ami Mrs. Pierce MacCoy are leaving Washington, D. 0. next month for Cairo, Egypt. Mr. MacCoy is Administrative Inspector of the Embassies and they expect to be away six months on this tour. Their daughter. Diane MacCoy is attending DePaUw University. Paul Alan Walker will cele-hr-ite his 7th birthday Saturday with guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Robinson. The guests will be his father, Herman Walker; his school chums. Sue Ellen Cooksey. Michael Kerr, and Alan Scroggin. They will be served ice cream and cake at one o'clock and then attend the theatre and have popcorn. Mr s. Wanita Hathaway has accepted a position as private secretary to Indiana’s Governor, George N. Craig. Mrs. Hathaway, who was Miss Wanita Pitts of Limedale. is the wife of A 2c Robert L. Hathaway and is now stationed on Okinawa. She has been recently employed in the offices of Dudley, Phillips an 1 Cox. attorneys in Terre Haute, but was formerly employed by the Craig & Craig law firm in Brazil.

Mrs. Edna Chadd, Fillmore; Walter Roach, Greencastle R. 2.; Mrs. Gertrude Kerberg. Zionsville and eight grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Roach were married January 27. 1904 in Bloomington, 111., and have resided in this community since March 1. 1919. Mr. Roach is 75 years of :ige and Mrs. Roach is 71. A family dinner will be held Sunday at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Arnold.
