Tiggers Host To Indiana State

After five consecutive games on the road, DePamv's quintet returns to its home court here Saturday night for a return ICC engagement with Indiana State’s young Sycamores. The varsity tilt, wOiich will find DePauw attempting to reverse a 71-66 ISTC decision in Terre Haute last month, is scheduled to start at 8 p. m., following a 6:15 reserve game. DePauw’* most recent road encounter resulted in a 86-76 loss to St. Joseph's Wednesday and put the Tiger record at five and three for the season. In the conference Coach Boh Harvey's men have won three and lost the same number. Playing without high-scoring center Gene Loeivher at St. Joe, the Bengals ran up a 10-point lead in the third period before the Pumas rallied to gain a similar margin at 79-69 late in the final quarter. DePauw pushed through nine straight markers to make the score 79-78 in the last minute of play; but the host team countered with eight of their own. Loercher. who stiffered a sprained ankle at Hope Jan. 2, may be lost for the remainder of the semester. Freshman Bob Schrier led the Bengal scoring for the second game in a row as he pushed in 26 points on 11 baskets and four free throws. He had 23 against Hope and rtow has 127 for the season. Ron McCammack had 15 at St. Joe. followed by Dave McCracken and Bob Pierce with nine apiece. Pierce, a junior letterman, rejoined the squad for the Hope game after sitting out the first seven games in order to devote more time to his studies. Offer 21 Yanks Another Chance PANMUN.IOM, Korea. Indian chairman of the Neutral Nations Repatriation Commission, said his guard troops will conduct a “head count” in the north camp, where 350 prisoners who elected to remain with the Reels now are held. The Indian chairman initiated the "head count" program last week by marching 4,000 antiCommunist prisoners to a desk and asking each for his name and serial number just to “check the t ecords.” None of the men was asked if he desired repatriation, but 135 said they wanted to return to Communism after giving their names and ser ial numbers. Station W G R E Tomorrow night's DePauw-In-diana State basketball game will be broadcast direct from Bowman Gymnasium by Station WGRE, beginning at 7:55.
