At nonrf a delicious pitch-in dinner was enjoyed by all. The meeting opened with the singing of "t»ve's Old Sweet Song" and repeating in unison of the Lord’s Prayer. Collection of dues and flower fund were taken. The secretary’s and tit a urer's reports were read and appi oved. The election of officers wan held with the re-election of Beatrice Turner, president; *11 ai o Turner, secretary; Martar, i Murray, treasurer and Shirley MeElroy, Sunshine Lady. Two new officers were elected, that of vice president and club reporter. Crystal Hutcheson was tied'il to the former office and Olu- Hutcheson the latter. Tli, sponsor, Crystal Hutche«m, told of the articles that were >hort at Riley Hospital. Each member was urged to bring a Jar af jelly, any old clothing still usabh and a Christmas gift to the next meeting. The exchange of names for Christmas was then made. Tlie club collect was repeated and the meeting adjourned. James Were played and prizes received by all. Those present were Margaret Murray, Ama Rea Hinton, Elaine Turner, Lucille Herbert, Francis Wagner, Thelma Wells, Elizabeth Bates, Olus Hutcheson, Crystal Hutcheson, Irene Smith, Faye Fulford, Beatrice Turner and the guest, Millicent Cognato, Forest Park, 111. The next meeting will be at the home of Elizabeth Bates on Nov 19th.
Che/. Xntis Club Elects f If fleers The Chez Nous Home Demonstration Club met Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Ned I. Burkhardt. Nine members were present and one guest, Mrs. Clifford Norton. For roll call everyone exchanged favorite recipes. Mrs. Campbell presided ovei the short business meeting which was followed by election'of officers. Assuming their new duties next January will be Mrs. Harold H. Smith, president; Mrs Donald K. McKinney, vice president; and Mrs. Win. F. Keys, secretary-treasurer. It was a pleasure having Mrs. | Katherine Benner at the meeting to conduct the lesson on "The Care and Use of the Broiler." I She demonstrated how easy it is to care for and clean all types of broilers when used properly and showed what a wide selection of goods may be cooked by this method. The club members on joyed sampling the various sandwiches and moats prepared anc' broiled during the afternoon. Mn.
