During in i school day's, she u’rs of an unusually sweet and hind disposition and none knew her but to love her On Sept 14th. 1947, at the age of 18, she wa, united in marriage to Carlyle K Collins. Her home was noted for un failing hospitality and good cheer. She was a kind and loving wife and much interested in the welfare of her husband. At an tally age, she united with the Church of Christ at West Unity, later transferring her membei ship to the Church of Christ at Cloverdale. Her Christian devotion brightened into confidence in hei last days as to give her loved ones the full hope of meeting her once more where there v/ill b. no parting. Her everyday life is loo well Known in this community to need much comment. All knew her life was above reproach. Righteous living was tier aim Since 1948, she has tieen undergoing medical treatment. From the beginning of her illness, she boie her suffering with such sweetness and patience, never jnitmuring or refusing once to do onything asked of her by those who cared for her so tenderly. She leaves to mourn her death, a patient and loving husband, her father and stepmother, four brothers, Waynr, Calvin, (Sonny) Renos and Hersehel;, two sisters, Trillis and Delores, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W McKamey, nil of near Cloverdale; and many other relatives tnd friends. Her place is vacant. Her voice is stilled Evidently the Creator had need ot tier, so must we try to console ourselves with the thought that our loss is her eternal gain. Wanda Jean has left us, Her face, we'll see no more. We know she now is resting, On that great eternal shore. We'v< always loved and cherished her, llcr smile- a guiding light. The boy was severely bitten by a dog, Sunday, and brought to the Putnam County hospital, It required about a dozen stitches to close the wounds on his face and neck. Eastern Star Chapters Hold Joint Inspection

Roaclidale chapter, Bninbridge Chapter, and Ladoga Chapter, Order of Eastern Star met in joint session at B:0h p. m. May 9 lor their annual inspection at Roachdale by their Worthy Grand Matron, Helen Bell, ol Bedford. The chapter room was decorated in the Worthy Matron's colors, red and blue and bouquets of spring flowers. The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Smith and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Judy were presented for dedication by the Worthy Grand Matron. During the ceremony, Mrs. Ralph Crosby sang "Brahm’s Lullaby." Under the direction of Ethel Radford, Worthy Matron, uno Franklin Ford, Worthy Patron the Roachdale officers opened chapter and escorted the distinguished visitors to the East. As the Worthy Grand Matron wa. 1 escorted to the East, Mrs. Crosby sang appropriate words to the tune of "The Rosary". Other distinguished visitors escorted to the East were Virgil King, Grand Marshal, Lora Mae Bowers, Grand Warder, and Lai one Widdop of Ladoga, District Deputy, sang "You'll never walk alone" as the visitors were escorted to the East.
