It occurs in the situation where you. as a defender, have a pretty good trump holding, including one sure winner in the trump suit. You have a side suit with which you can force declarer. The point is to take your trump trick at a time when dummy is out of trumps because if your "forcing" suit can be trumped on the board, obviously that does not reduce declarer's own trump holding .... r, - Loses Tlpportunity Look how Mr Muzzy threw away a golden opportunity in this deal. He opened the king of hearts and Mr. Dale won with the ace. The king of trumps was led and Mr. Muzzy stepped right in with the ace He cashed the queen of hearts, taking the last one off the board, and looked around for new worlds to con-

quer

Finally he switched to the eight of diamonds. Mi. Champion won with the are and returned a diamond, whereupon Mr. Dale claimed the balanee of the tricks

and his contract.

"What's your hurry about taking the act- of Humps?" roared Mr. Champion. "Just take the thiid round to trumps and lead the queen and another h< art. Dale

hand Then, when I was In with the ace of diamonds, I'd lead another heart. When he ruffed that. t„ d he out of trumps and you'd still have one left lor the setting trick.” "Wait a minute." said Mr. Muzzy desperately. "If Dale won the fust two trump tricks, he wouldn't lead a third round. He’d switch to diamonds right there. Mr. Champion gave him a withering look. "All right, he switches to diamonds. You start an echo by playing the eight first. I lay off the first diamond, win the second and lead a third round which you trump for the setting trick.” • Mr. Muzzy could think of no gdod argument so he fell back on an old favorite of his. “Well, you n ay be right," he said, "but J the play you’re suggesting is double-dummy.” Mr. Champion grinned wickedly "You certainly ate," lie said. Brazil To Play Here Tomorrow

Coach Tom Goldsberry and his Tiger Cubs have two games on their home court this week. Wednesday evening, Coach Bab. Wheeler will bring his Brazil high school netters to the loal gym. Brazil defeated Greencastle earlier in the season but tomorrow's encounter should prove interesting. The last home tilt of the season will be staged Friday night | with Rockville forming the opposition. The Cubs then have an open week and travel to Broad Ripple for their last scheduled contest on February 22. The sectional tourney will be held here the following weekend. In speaking of the clash with Greencastlc, The Brazil Times

says:

"Coach Babe Wheeler hopes his Red Devils will be rid of th ■ measles and other ailments by the time they invade Grcencastle to meet the Tiger Cubs Wednes- ! day night. Coach Tom Golds- I berry's lads show definite signs of being a greatly improved ball team, much better than when Brazil won over the Cubs with ease last month. “The Tiger Cubs, although Uvyjost by three points, yav. the Garfield Purple Ragles all they wanted Friday night. Tinscore was 46 to 43 in favor of the Eagles. Brazil also engage Garfield on the Red Devil court
