To Moverdalc W. S. ( . s. The W. S. C. S. of Cloverdal. Methodist church, met with Mrs James Sipple Thursday. Dec. 10, with an all day meeting. Mrs. Leland Tnppett gave thanks at noon after which all enjoyed a bountiful dinner. The president, Mrs Ernest Query called the meeting to order at 2 p m. and all joined in singing "What A Friend We Have in Jesus", Mrs. Xannii Furr gave the devotions. Mrs Sam McCoy gave the lesson from the book. "Victorious Living" by E Stanley Jones. Mrs. Nannie Fun gave a reading. "How to Feel Secure in Insecure Times." Both were greatly enjoyed by all present There were 20 ladies and 4
children present.

President Alice Ciadiek opened the meeting with all sing "Old Auld Lang". Mrs. Klinefelter led us all in piayet Roll call was answered with "your favorite food"; followed with minutes of last meeting and the treasury report. Members voted to give $5 00 to the Polio drive, and also donate to Putnamville P. T. A. to help gel a refrigerator for the hot lunches. Plans were made to serve the Lions Club supper on Jan. 24. Please contact Alice Cra flick for your donation of food or money. We regret that Mrs. Geneva Jones no longer wishes to continue in the club, but hope to see her as our guest anytime she is able to come. TWO PICKETS parade in front of the Billow Funeral Co , oldest and largest funeral home in Akron. O., after a walkout by 18 of its morticians, ambulance drivers and maintenance men. They went out on strike over the firing of two of the home's ambulance drivers, allegedly for union activity. The strike is believed to be the first walkout against a funeral home in Ohio. <Internaionn!)
Friendly Circle Met W ith Mrs. Dickey The Friendly Circle Home Demonstration club, met at the home of Mrs. Andrew Dickey for the January meeting. The meeting was called to order by the president. Mrs. Paul Albin. After which the song of the month was sung and the club creed repeated. Roll call was answered by giving our favorite birthday. Mrs. Eva Boatright gave the lesson on "Outlook" for the coming three months of '52. Club was dismissed by repeating the club prayer. Next meeting Feb. 1. to be at the home of Mrs. Almeda Brackney. Two very interesting contests were given by Mrs. Eva Boatlight and won by Jeannette Dickey and Almeda Brackney.
