_’ work at Davidson’s Indiana Fur j Co. Tiie groom is employed at 20th ] Century-Fox. “VOTERS" Citizens of Putnam Co., Iml., U. S. A. In your papers I have been reading Tuesday, November S, “Vote a Straight Ticket". I have seen it from all parties and I ask you if you should vote a straight ticket. I would like to state an example showing that most people vote a straight ticket and don’t even rend what they are voting for. In a certain district in a certain city in an election the leading party wanted to find out how many people read theii ballots. They ran a "brownmule" in place of a committeeman and he got elected. Just because your ancestors and mine voted a certain party. Do you believe you should? If you do you are CRAZY! It is not a very American thing to do. Should tiie U. S. be run by political machines? Well we do have political machines in this country which try to control everything. Are We going to let them ? It is up to you the ‘‘voters” of America to remove the machines and put in real American people. These people arc still here if they ran be found. When you go to the polls to vote, vote as an American not us your ancestors or those before them. Vote for the man, not the party. By Irwin E. Taylor Ronehdale Indiana.
