There were 20 members present. Following the business meeting the hostess nerved delicious refreshments. The July meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Elmer Abbott.

W ill observe 50th Wedding Anniversary Mi and Mrs. Chas. Fallow will elebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, June 24 with an open house from 2 until 5 p. n at their home south of Roachdale. Mr. Farlow was born near Dov•r, Ind., and Mrs. Fallow was ormerly Lila Wilson of Green.vood. Ind. They were married al oebanon, June 26th, 1901. They iiave 2 children, Irene Harshbarger of Westfield, Ind., and Robert Farlow of neat Roach* lale; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Mr. Farlow was formerly a , arpenter, but has farmed for the last 32 years. He is 76 and Mrs. Farlow 69 years old. No invitations have been issued but all neighbors, friends and elatives are cordially invited to call.

Kouchdalc O. F. S. Holds Initiation Roachdale Chapter No. 247 O. E. S. held initiatory services June 11th. Mrs. Lucille Harsh burger, Worthy Matron, and Franklin Fold, Worthy Ration, presided during the evening. Mrs. Frances Zaring of Cloverdale. Dtputy of district No. 9 was vcorted east and given a hearty \. elcome. The chapter room was beautifully decorated with flowers. The initiatory ceremony was impressively given to four candidates. After the ceremony. Mrs. Barbara Etcheson sang. "A Stai Of The East" with Alda McCammon at the piano. The chapter closed with formal icremony. During the closing, Jilrs. Etcheson sang "May the' Good Lord Bless and Keep you.” Following the services all gathered in the dining room for ■efreshments. Guests were present from Duinbridge Ladoga, Cloverdale, Morton, Lebanon, Bethany III, ami Indianapolis. Club Met With .Mrs. McCullough The Pleasant Gardens Home Ec Club met June 11, at the home of Mrs. Wayne McCullough. The song of the month "My Old Kentucky Home" was sung and led by Mrs. Alpha Kirk. Mrs. William Killian, the vicepi esident, conducted the meeting The salute to the flag was given, followed by repeating the club creed. Secretary and treasurer’s reports were given. The lesson, color in the home, was given in an interesting manner by Mrs. George Mercer and Mrs. Hurry Bond. They used color swatches upon a chart to show liumonizing color combinations; also pictures of decorated rooms ' r he chib voted to have no exhibit at the county fair this year. Possible tours were discussed bi.t no delinite plans were made. Rail call was answered with a handkerchief exchange. Mrs. Charlie Diel had charge of the social hour. She had an interesting contest. This was for identifying of staples used in cookery by scent and texture with the products invisible. Mrs. Hubert Burger and several children were guests. The hosti sr served an attractive dessert course. Mis. Cecil Craft will be host»ss for a special meeting June 21. Demonstrations of use of coanietlcs will be given by a representative of House of Stuart. Members may make up for a meeting missed dr to be missed by attending this special meeting.
Cloverdale W.S.C.S. Held All Hay Meeting The members of he W.S.C.S. of Cloverdale Methodist Church, were delightfully eniertaineu with an all day meeting at the beautiful country home of Mis Aral Groner. At the noon hour ail assenibleii in the dining room ami sang, “Bless Be The Tie That Binds' and gave the Lord’s Prayer, al ter which they enjoyed a bountiful dinner. At 1:3d Mrs. Winnie Furr, the president, called the meeting to order. Devu* ms were given by Mrs. Naomi Coens with Mrs. Nellie O'Neal leading in prayer. Responses to roll call were Bible quotations. Minutes of pre vious meeting were read and ap proved. Mrs. Nettie Broadstreel was program leader, she gave the article, "The Miracle Bell Ring ers," very inspiring and well given. Mrs. Ilallie Sipple gave two short readings, Aunt Junes ball and The Unexpected Voice. Mrs. Furr presented the new president, Mrs. Eliza Query, who after appointing her leaders iui the ensueing year. Mrs. Maude Duncan and Mrs. Nellie McCuriy, closed the meeting. There were two guests, Mrs. Opal Jackson a^ni Mrs. Georgia Subblett of Putnumville, present; twenty members and three child len. Beverly ami Barbara Coons and Judy Uroadstreet. All left in the lale afternoon thanking Mis. Groner for her generous hospitality.
