Glenn Erwin, age 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Erwin who reside on the south Indiana street road, carries route 16V He is a sophomore in high school. The Daily Banner and Indianapolis News route he delivers starts on Highland street over to Indiana street and down Indiana to west Berry and then cm to Indiana street mad. 'All of this route lies west of Indiana street. It has 30 Indianapolis News and 77 Daily Banner subscribers. The sons of Mr ami Mrs. Erwin have, to my knowledge, carried these two well known papers for the past seven years. Donald, who is a sophomore at Indiana University, was the first ’.o carry and Glenn took over the foutc when Don graduated from high school. There is still a younger brother, Keith, age 7, who I am sure will take over when Glenn is unable to he the carrier of the papers. Glenn plays the tuba in the senior high school band. He la interested in sports, ia active in the Boy Scout organization and takes interest in the Sunday school and church work at the Christian church of which he ia a member. He is thrifty, for the money he earns from fos paper route ,he saves both in Christmas Savings and Victory Bonds —of which he has several. He is one of the calmest boys I have, for I scarcely know’ he is in the carriers’ room when he comes to get his papers. Apparently he delivers his papers in a methodical way for I never have a complaint or a subscriber to call in saying they did not reeeive their papers. . Glenn exemplifies the type of boys that delivers The Daily Banner and Indianapolis News for he rmlizes he is part of an organization that has but one Job to do and that is to give service—our products have already been sold.
