NEW METHOD
CHICAGO, Dec. 12 HTP)— ’ method of x-raying arteries in the brain that will be a "valuable" help in diagnosing various typos of brain injuries was described by Dr. Ralph C. Moore of the University of Nebraska before the Radiological Society of
North America.
The technique involves injecting an opaque diodrast solution in the internal carotid artery. The aolution makes it possible to vi: ualize both anterior and middle cerebral arteries on single X-ray film and indicates injuries such as vascular lesions of the brain, neoplasms, abscesses, hi matomas and others, Moore
raid yesterday.
In the past, air has been in-
jected into the artery instead of the diodraat but Moore said this newer procedure is "accurate, less dangerous and less istressing to
the patient than air studies. Child's v
