Russ Troops Aid Chinese Reds

HONG KONG. March 21. (UP) A large number of Rus- | sian troops have arrived recently in China and are taking an active role in China’s civil war, according to apparently uuthen tic reports. Those reports, from a number of sources, indicate that between 5,000 and 10.000 Russian troops have arrived within the past 30 days. They arc helping bloster Chinese Communist resistance against increased Nationalist air attacks. Then- is also the possibility that the Russians might be use to discourage any popula«uprising against the Chinese Communist regime in view oi China's widespread famine and economic stagnationa. Observers advanced another theory that the Russians migh‘ have been placed in China to ensure that the pro-Kremlin faction of the Chinese Communist party would not be ousted by Nationalist Communists who believe in China first. t’AKI) OF THANKS We wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to our neighbors, friends and relatives for the lovely floral tributes, cards and letters, also Rev. Ora McDaniel for his comforting words, Mrs. Chastain for her kindly services, the .Angers for their lovely songs .and all who assisted in any way during the illness and death of our husband and father, Jesse E.
