Mrs. Joseph IPickens assumed her duties as president with the club singing "Beautiful Dreamer" led by Mrs. Blanchard Ketchem. The club collect and Flag salute given in unison and the secretary and treasurers report read and approved. Roll call was answered by 27 members with a valentine and handkerchief exchange from a huge box filled to its capacity. Suggestions were made by Mrs. Walter Dorsctt. chairman of Ways and Means Committee, how to increase the club treasure, which was accepted and a donation was given to the Friendship Fund, Red Cross and an Emergency Fund of $10 was also established as one of the projects
for the year.
Following was the lesson on Safety Wery ably given by Mrs. Clovis Salsman and an interesting talk by Mrs. Elm* Sehulty about her trip to Florida. An invitation was received and accepted to attend the Silver Tea at Bainbridge sponsored by the Community Service Club which consists of a Fashioa Show by L. 8 Ayres on Mar. 15 at 2 p m. All plans were made to attend. Lesson on pattern alteration was given in an instructive manner by Mrs. Ketchem assisted by Mrs. Pickens, with Mrs. Helen Fine and Mr*. Freda Parker demonstrating. She emphasized the importance of selecting materials to suit your pattern, the different ways of shrinkage, when not sanforized and also spoke of better materials being advisable as the difference in cost is so little and a garment could be fashioned as easily with the same amount of labor. The social hour was spent by secret sisters presenting gifts, also the prize package was won by Mrs. Freeman Goodpaster which will be presented to her
