Washinston Twp. < M< t Wt'diKfsday. The Third Wed. Club of Washington Township si*erU an enjoyable day at the homo of Eula Wells on Sept. 21st. There were nine members and two guests and the hostess present. At noon everyone enjoyed a good chicken dinner. The business meeting was called to order by the President, everyone joined in singing twe songs. Roll call vas a pot holder exchange, dues were collected and the secretary read the minutes which were approved. Each member brought gifts for men and women patients at Long Hospital and a nice box was sent in. It was motioned and approved to give $1 00 to the Emergency Polio Drive. 'The flower and card chairmei gave her report which was approved by the group. The Christmai box for Riley will be started at the October meeting at Eaye Fulfords. Next an election was held by secret ballot, results were Faye Pulford Pres . Nellie Duqll Sec. and Treas., and Eula Wells Flower and Card Chairman. Plans were made for Riley Chapter Day Reservations. Meeting adjourned with repeating the club prayer. The hostess then condJcted contests. Members attending were Shirley McElroy, June Hiestared, Irene Smith, Effie Wells, Lucile Herbert, Faye Tulford, Eula Wells, Maude McElroy, Olus and Crystal Hutcheson. Cousins who had not seen each other for years, had fun getting acquainted all over again. The Reunion is planned next year for the fqurth Sunday of August at the Robe Ann Park in Greencastle. ALLISON HOME NEWS Mrs. Elmer Blue, east Franklin street, gave the Allison Children's Home two large and very beautiful potted plants. The Fidlers and Allison Homo children enjoyed cooking their supper on a large fireplace out at Robw-Ann Park Saturday. Mr .and Mrs. John M. The Disabled American Veterans and its Auxiliary will meet Wednesday night at the city hall Wednesday night at 8 o'clock at the city hall to plan for the pitch-in supper to be held Wednesday evening, Oct. 19th. Huggard-West Wedding Sunday The marriage of Miss Mary Ellen West and William Allen Huggard. Jr, was solemnized Sunday afternoon at 2:30 in the First Christian church. The Rev. Ralph Saunders read the double ring ceremony. The,bride is the daughter of Mr. ani Mis. Kenneth West. The groom is tile son of Mr. and Mrs. vVilliain A. Huggard. A laige white bouquet on the baptismal formed a background for the communion table on w.iioh laid an open Bible flanked with burning candles. The chan- | cel was decorated simply witii palms, philodendron and white i hrysaiu hem urns. Mrs. James Proffitt, accompanied by Bill Lockwood at the organ, sang Grieg’s "I Love Thee.” The bride, given in marriage by her father, was lovely in a green tissue taffeta street length nef.s with rounded shoulders, fitted bodice and soft impressed pleated skirt, with brown and gold accessories. She carried an unusual bouquet, fashioned of little American white chrysanthemums centered with a large fuji chrysanthemum nestled In inalines against an impressive background of fancy-leaf calad-

Mrs. Donns Masten, matron of honor, wore a two pieced dark brown faille dress with brown accessories. She carried an informal cascade bouquet of multicolored croton leaves and lemon yellow Chinese spider chrysanthemums. Kenneth Cameron of Chicago, was best man. Ushers were Robert Huggard, Donus Masten, both of Greencastle; David Haring of Chicago, and Charles Parkin of Indianapolis. * The bride’s mother wore a rose-taupe dress with brown accessories. Her corsage was ot pink delight rosettes. The groom's mother wore a light grey suit with black and wine accessories. Her corsage was of raving beauty roses. Following the ceremony a reception was held at Old Trail Inn. The reception table was laid with an Irish linen cloth garlanded with Hollywood fanleaf ivy. The lovely three tiered cake and punch bowl were flanked with white flowers aiid flowered colonades. Miss Edith Browning and Mrs. Ward Ma\hall assisted in the cutting of th” cake and serving punch.
