All-Stars Get Tilt Challenge A challenge to a softball contest was issued today to the jreenrastle All-Stars. ' Although no games will be played this week due to the County Fair, it is believed that a tilt between these two teams will be arranged in the near future. The official challenge as given to The Daily Banner is: “We, the members of the Croencastlc Never-Sweats, challenge you, the Greencastle A1IStars, to a softball game to be played any time you feel lucky. Sutherlins at the meeting of the Lucky Cloveis 4-H Club August 3 at 8:00. Harley Sutherlin gave a talk »n the Boys State Camp and Donald Broadstreet gave a talk on Soil Conservation. All record books wore brought for checking and to be signed. The minutes were read and ipproved and roll call was answered. Refreshments were served and the meeting was adjourned.

The seventh meeting of the Thrifty Farners 4-H Club of Bainbridge met at the home of Ardell Clodfelter Tuesday, July 26th. The pledge to the flag was led by Howard Tippin and the 1-H pledge was led by Dickie Early. The roll call was answered by giving your favorite movie. Charles Yeager gave a talk on how to make a calf halter. Ardell Clodfelter led tne group in ringing of three songs. Over Hill Over Dale, I've Been Working on

the Railroad, and Four-Leaf Clover. After adjourning games and refreshments were enjoyed by the members present. The next meeting will at the honv of David Lane's August 2. SOFTBALL NEWS Swick's Girl softball team bowed to a strong Hillman's team by a score of 12 to 1 Sunday night, played at Clinton Sportsman’s Field. Eugenia Irwin pitched with Dorothy Slavens and Anna Mae Cnncilla catching. Hillman’s have played for the past 5 years and have one of the best girl's teams in the northwest. Experience for the local girls was the main reason for booking a team like Hillman's Games with Paris and Charleston. Illinois are being scheduled The girls who traveled to Clinton were: Maxine Varvel, Betty Jones, Margaret Gilley, Edna Rader, Joan King. Lucy Logan, Lois White, Dorothy Slavens,

RECITAL AT FILLMORE A large audience greeted the pupils of Miss Carrie Pierce in a beautiful recital Friday evening at the Christian church in Fillmore. The girls and boys begar studying lust May and played with ease aad precision. The numbers were quite varied and proved to be very interesting and enjoyable. Mr. and Mrs. Jru Sutherlin and daughter, Patty, and Miss And rey Shaff, were called home from a vneation in Florida du to the illness of Mr. Suthcrlin's father, James Sutherlin of Mt. Meridian.
