ADVISES C ATTLEMEN UPLAND, Ind.. July 25 Sam R. McKolvie. former Nobraskt governor, has told some 2.600 cattlemen that they shouldn’t be “too alarmed over any downward price adjustment period.” MeKelvie gave the advice in addressing the annuual summer meeting of the Indiana Cattle Feeders association at the Mil-ler-Purdue experimental farm near here. “Never was the beef producer in as strong a financial position as he is now,” MeKelvie said. He explained that the demand for beef and the per capita consumption is high; there are fewer imports from Mexico because of the hoof and moutn disease, and production on range land cannot be grearjy increased. The cattlemen inspected the experimental herds being fed at the farm.
