The meeting was adjourned until June 30 at 1:30 p. in. CST at the school house.

The Jolly Hustlers 4-H Club of Cloverdale met on Wednesday at the school building for their regular meeting. Kllcen Henson acted as president, in the absence of Evelyn Gaston. Roll was called and minutes of last meeting were read and approved. Norma Leigh Siddons led th' 1 pledge to the Flag and Betty Nickerson led the 4-H -club' pledge.. We had singing with Janet and Barbara Parker leading. We discussed the judging contest to be held at the Greencastle High School building m Thursday and means of transportation to get to this meeting. We also discussed a joint meeting with the Gay Junior Club to lie held Tuesday at the schorl building at which time plans were made for a picnic and cov red dish luncheon to be held at McCormicks Creek park on Friday. Record books were checked. Games were played under th ■ . pinning of Jo Ellen Tlexander and Annie Sutherlin, the recreational leaders. Refreshments qf Pepsi-Cola and potato chips were served with Jo Ellen Alexander as chair-man. We are very busy these days getting our record books filled
The McMillan Feed Company sponsored a moving picture show at the Junior Clovers fourth 4-11 meeting in the school house oa June 22nd. Thirty members answered roll call by giving the name of a common animal. There were also five visitors present. The pledge to the flag was given by Glen Steel and the 4-H club pledge was given by Arthur Martin. We then sang DaisyBell led by Dale Bowman. After refreshments we played games led by Junior Horn, acting as recreation leader. We then adjourned to meet again on July 13. Charles Gaston gave a talk on the care of hogs for exhibit at the Lucky Clovers 4-H meeting held June 21st at the school house. Marvin Douglas gave 4-H pledge and the minutes were read and approved. Paul Groves announced that our next bell game would be with Fillmore June 26th at the Cloverdale diamond. Games were lead by Harley Sutherlin and refreshments were served. Th meeting was adjourned to meet at the senool house July 5th at 8:00 The Russell Township 4-H Junior Leaders who were in charge of the monthly Junior Leader meeting Thursday night entertained the group with what was called the best program of the year. Buddy McGaughey, president, presided. Music was furnished by the Russellville club. Reports of the Kiwanis Junior Leadership Conference held recently at the State Fair Grounds were given by Buddy McGaughey and Katherine Cook. Purdue RoundUp delegates giving reports were Marilyn Gardner and Ike Strain. Attendance awards for 100 per cent attendance at the recent Officers Training School were presented by Tom Hendricks, 4-H club agent. Clubs presented awards were Floyd, Cloverdale, Monroe, Washington,
Russell, Greencastle, Franklin, Clinton and Jefferson. Following the meeting, the group was divided and went on a scavenger hunt which was enjoyed by all present. Before the meeting adjourned a few were taken snipe hunting which they will never forget when attending 4-H junior leadership meeting. The fourth regular meeting ot Jeff’s Hog Herders was held July 2nd at the school building at 7:30 CST. The meeting was opened by the president, Bobby Ziegelman. The pledge to the Flag was given and the 4-H pledge was led by Betsy Hacker. Barbara Shumaker and Duane Gaston led the group singing. Roll call was answered by naming a grease, oil or gas. Betsy Hacker thanked the club for her nice card. The minutes were read and approved. It was decided to take a trip to Riverside Saturday night, July 9th. A truck will leave the school house at 6:15 CST. It was decided to have an ice cream supper for the next meeting. There will be musical entertainment. The club discussed having a Fish Fry for our July 30th meeting Wendell Hurst was the only junior leader from this club at the Junior Leaders meeting at Russellville Iasi month. He brought the motto banner to the meeting Saturday night that we won at the officers training meeting.. The Junior Leaders graded the record books. Billy Ziegelman gave a report on the Round-Up at Purdue. A demonstration on ‘How to make a Hog Feeder’ was given by Robert Morrison and Duane Gaston. Games planned by the recreational leaders were enjoyed by all. Candy bars were served as refreshments. The meeting was adjourned to meet again July 16th. Jeff's Hog Herders played three games Sunday July 3, at the Belle Union diamond. They defeated the Russellville Bees in two games. The first team score was 10 to 7. The score of the girl's game was 29 to ,3. Jeff's Hog Herders defeatcJ the men's team from Belle Union and Mt. Meridian 12 to 9. Due to an unexpected acident the game scheduled between Jeff’s Hog Herders and Roachdale at the latter’s diamond Monday night, July 4th was cancelled. Jeff’s Hog Herders vs. Bainbritlgc 4-Hers in a softball game Sunday July 10th at the Belle Union diamond at 2:00 CST.
