The day was spent in judging to sec who would go to the county conte.-d. \ demonstration was given by Shirley Grimes, greasing pans, Vt noon a pitih-m dinner was njoyed by all. Those chosen to go to the cor - test were: Baking. Sally Spencer and Charlene Pittman; Fon I ’reparation, Deanna Goff and loanne Clodfelter. Clothing, lanet Houska and Marilyn Winlell. The exhibits that were judged were set up by the following junior leaders, Kathryn “ook, Carole and Marilyn Gardner, Patty Grimes, Maxine Lyons, Charlene Marstellcr and 'Tartha Spencer. The meeting adjourned to meet in the near r uture.
The Busy Bees of Russell township met June 21 far an all day meeting of judging- The pledge to the flags were given and roll call was ans-wrred oy eighteen members. Kathryn Cook and Hanna Welch, alter nates were chosen to go to the county demonstration contest Singing was led by Maxine Lyons, a pitch-in dinner was eu joy-d by all at noon. Those chosen to go to tho county contest were: Baking, Madonna Harbison and Keit, Brattain; Cann'n, Kathryn and Marilyn Gardner. Clothing. Martha Spencer and Eileen He: ter and Food Preparation, Carol Gardner and Naney Fordiee. A ball game will be played against Belle Union, July 3, at Belle Union. The meeting adjourned to meet July 12th at 1:00.
Roll call was answered by 2f> members naming a crop at the Junior Clover 4-H Club s third meeting in the school building on Wednesday, June Sth. -The minutes were read and approved. The pledge to the fls{, was given by Richard Brannemaif and the 4-H cluh pledge was given by Donald Ray. After refreshments of cokes mu! candy recreation was led by Lenora Mann. The Willing Workers of Clinton township met June 2nd fotheir fourth meeting. The meeting was called to order by the president. The pledge to the flag was led by Lois Miller and the 4-H club pledge led by Mary Crodian. The singing of the club song was led by Marcia Albin. The roll call of “a safety slogan" was answered by twen-
ty-two members. Then the se c . retary and treasurer's report was read and approved. Next we had a safety lesson given b> our safety leader, Betty Frazier and then the junior leaders ehoekel the record books. For recreation we had songs by Nancv Bock and Marcia Albin. Th, recreation given by Rota MgClodfelter and Jean Call freshments by the food preparation girls. Tho-next meeting will be held June 16 at the school house. The time will be 9:00 a. m. f 0r Lie local judging contest.
