Bridge which he had to cross ,with the body. He dug a grave and buried her on the mountain. Yesterday, he looked on stonily as police disinterred the body at what captain of inspectors James English described as "a Beautiful setting for a sordid deed." Panattoni said he and his wife once chose a spot for a picnic near the grave of stately oak trees overlooking the Pacific and the San Francisco Bay region. Panattoni broke down and confessed after maintaining a cool composure for three days while police and private detectives searched for the girl. The private investigators were hired by the dead girl’s father, former Assistant District Attorney Paul Dana.
