Sold Quart Of Water For $4800 GARY, Ind., June 29 (DPI Charles Lucas sold a quart of water for $1,800. police said to day. Then his conscience began to bother hint. He walked into police headquarters yesterday, put $3,100 in cash on a desk and told th:> story: A Chicagon, Joseph Pazera, paid $4,800 on June 18 to Lucas and a friend, Lucas^satd, as payment for a liquor they told him would change ordinary white paper to $10 bills. The Philadelphia Phillies star expected one last physical checkup before doctors released hint. He assured first assistant state’s attorney Ed vin Brenn that he wiild appear Thursday at the arraignment of Ruth Steinhagen 19, on charges of

attempting to kill him. A psychiatrist ■ has found the girl mentally unsound. She has admitted that she never spoke to Waitkus until a few minutes before she shot him in a hotel room June 14. Authorities said they also might subpena Waitkus to appear before the grand jury which will be called to file a formal indictment against the girl.
