PORT ALBERNI, B C.. June 21 (UP) A hunt was begun today to track down a Cougar which attacked and killed a sev-i-ivyear-old Indian boy wnile he played on a beach of Vancouver Island. Chief predatory hunter James Dewar left here by plane yesterday with 10 dogs for Kyuquot, the spot where the boy was killed. The youngster, Dominie Taylor was playing on the beach when '.lie Cougar attacked him. Two men drove the animal off after the boy was fatally injured. BELLE UNION
Bendix Workers To Vote Today SOUTH BEND, Ind . June 21 (UP) Approximately 6.100 members of the CIO United Automobile Workers Union vote today oi a jilan to end their 62-day-ol<, strike against the Bendix Avia tion Corp. Some of the Union leaden have rejected the plan, which calls for an immediate halt oi the strike, a two-week negotiation period and the appointment of a fact-finding panel if n< settlement is reached. The company accepted the pro po.sil. suggested by Gov. Hcnr,' F. Schricker, providing the find ings of the panel would not b binding. The Untor.'s negotiating lean wanted the company to be bourn by whatever the panel recoin mended. The company has estimated that the 7.500 employes idled by he strike have lost $4,009,493 n wages. The strike was called after the Union charged the 'ompany with a production ■speedup, followed by disciplinary dismissals. Voting begins at 3 p. m.
