AVOCA, Ind., April 11. (UP; The Avoca Baptist church wa a pile of charred rubble today after a Palm Sunday fire forced nearly 50 persons to flee their Sunday school classes. Loss was estimated at less than $10,000. The small frame building was destroyed. The flames were blamed on sparks which fell from the chimney to a wooden-shingled roof.
