I have been worrying a bit about my eyes. 1 have to wear glasses when I read and. without glasses, close-by objects have a tendency to look blurred. So, at breakfast, I used my glasses this morning. I didn’t realize that the texture of a roll was so coarse until I put on my glasses. A couple of weeks ago I bought some Chinaware without putting on my spectacles. The stuff had looked fine. This morning 1 noticed how cheaply the desigr had been put on. how defective the glazing. After breakfast I looked myself in the mirror—with my glasses on. Horrors! Was that ue, nr I to be grammatical? I came to the conclusion that maybe one is better off with the eyesight a little impaired. So you see, as in thes tory. perfect eyes and ears and teeth i ay be great in theory but they can be troublesome in practice. C'LOVKRDAiLE The annual Junior and Senior reception was held at the Terre Haute House in Terre Haute last Friday evening on April 1. The banquet was held in the Mayflower Room. The senior motto which is “Tonight wc Launch, where shall wc Anchor” was very appropriate for this occasion. ,, The seniors and the faculty and their families report having had a very nice time and want to thank the juniors and their sponsor, Mr. Bill Herring, for making it so. The misses Betty Jeanne Turner, Barbara Jane Sutherlin and Barbara Day, all seniors in Clovcrdale High School, called on Miss Betty Branrcman^at her home in Cloverdale. Miss Brannuuan is a senior in'Greencastle High School. The senior class of Cloverdale High School and their sponsor. Millaid Vaughn and Mrs. Christine Vaughn, held their farewell

” ‘And, oh, what great teeth you have, grandmamma!’ ‘All the better to eat you with!’ cried the wolf, jumping out of ibed.”
You all know the rest of the story of Little Red Riding-Hood, who would surely have perished If it hadn't been for the nice w'r..odcuttcr with his gun who happened to pass by at just the
right moment.
