I he Company’s customers purchased more kilowatt hours of electricity last year than ever before to help them in their homes, factories and on their farms. The Company’s 1948 sales amounted to 1,954,609,750 kwh —an increase of nearly 22% over the previous year. This record volume of kilowatt hour sales is one of the principal reasons Public Service Company has been able to maintain the lowest electric rates in the Company’s history.
