I Indiana’s new, high production records mean more electricity is being used, helping to provide more jobs, more opportunities, more prosperity for Hoosier men and women! Since 1940, we have been working day and night to maintain an ample supply of electric power to help keep Indiana’s prosperity on the march. Our greatly stepped-up production has required enormous additions of electric generating and distributing facilities —as fast as they could be obtained and installed.
Today we can provide more thdn twice as much electric power as was necessary in 1940. By 1952, we will have more than tripled the 1940 supply. To illustrate how important these achievements are, the records show our customers used almost two-and-a* half times as much electricity last year as they did in 1940—and careful studies show their needs will continue to grow! As always, your electric Company is building ahead —getting ready now to meet our customers’ still greater electric needs of the future!
