the U. S. Army in the occupation. Pvt. Perry, son of Mr. and Mis. Sylvia Hinkle, 513 Bloomington St., Greejicastle, Indiana, has been assigned to duty with Headquarters Troop, 1st Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division.

Pvt. Perry's new duties will consist of security guard, patrolling and general occupational requirements, in the densely populateu Tokyo-Yokohama area. Pvt. Perry enlisted for service May 21. 1948, undergoing

basic training at Kent Knox, Kentucky. Prior to enlisting Pvt. Perry attended Greencastle High School.
