One of the finest jobs ever done by American house* wives has been in saving used fats! Since 1942, over 800 million pounds have been salvaged, But, as Secretary of Commerce W. A. Harriman points out, the Jo-b still isn't over. “Not ^nly the United States, but the whole world still, lacks adequate supplies of fats and oils. And we in America are particularly short 6f industrial fats." These industrial fats, or their products, are needed to make many thingi we use every day. The used fats you turn in will help tide us over until supplies are normal. tut -comm in ye UR USED FATS I •WknaBaMMelva* a—I—> ' 11 ——■ ——« / ■" ' •>
...more quality for every dollar you spend!
The same thrifty system of buying-and-selling that permits Wards to offer you extra value, creates extra ijuality, too. \^ards buys in huge quantities; buys simultaneously for our 631 stores and our millions of catalogs. Wards sells direct ... no ••middle men” or jobbers. Needless to say, the total resulting savings are tremendous! Part of these savings go straight to W'ards price-tags. The rest are built into Wards merchandise ... to give you better performance, longer wear, more satisfactior ... a finer piece of merchandise, for the price y ou planned to pay.
