Eicnel remained at the helm of the Vanderburgh county Democratic committee today after a meeting of political leader-i broke up in fist fights last night. The session was called for a vote on whether Eichel, who has been accused of "subversive activities” within his own party, would remain as county chairma.n. The meeting broke up even before it officially started wnen a near riot ended in an exchange of blows between Eichel and probate judge Wendell Lcnsing. Meanwhile, the Democratic state committee considered proposed revisions of its by-laws to enable it arbitrarily to remove Sirhel from the Vanderburgh county post.
