SAVED LIVES IN TORNADO

Years ago. when I was a young reporter. I was sent out on a story which made it necessary to live in a California hob: camp for more than a week. 1 dressed like a hoho, I talkec. like a hobo, I was a hobo. And do you know, r liked it sc well that I almost stayed a hobo 1 remember that delicious mulligan, cooked in tin can* over an open fire. I remember those lonlight nights around that tire, listening to wonderful adventures lived by those fellows in thousands of miles of unpaid travel. What a free and easy bunch What a simple, boiled-down, elemental outlook on life. They had nothing, they wanted n rthlng. they had txt ambitions and no inhibitions. Yet they were rich. They owned the sun and the moon and the stars and the trees and the birds and tile whole world as long as there was a brake beam t/j ride on. Good-bye boys and don't go to' too many museums! IN MEMORY In memory of my wife, Mrs. Ina MeCammaek who pa-ssed away a year ago today. Loving and kind in all her ways, Upright and just to the end of her days; Sincere and true, in her heart and mind, Beautiful memories she left behind. Floris McCammock. pd
