WASHINGTON, Oct. 28. I UP) The administration’s emergency housing programs, past and. present, were attacked by Re-i publicans today as examples cf. bungling and inefficiency. Sen. Bcukre B. Hlckenlooper | r., la., said the present veteransi emergency housing program as a ; ••colossal failure’’ and called on the next Congress to “do some-
thing about it.”
He said he was studying thentire problem and might introduce remedial legislation when Congress meets “to get the mat-
erials flowing.”
His statement came after Sen. Owen Brewster, R., Me., released his copy what he called a “long suppressed” report charging blunders, waste and inefficiency in wartime housing con-
rtay r ord struetion.
Brewster said the report was submitted to the Senate War Investigating Committee in April,

For years the na ::e of “Lena Rivers” exhibited in, fron! of any theater has been like magic. It has played to standing room everywhere since it is packed with tears and
laughter.
Mr. Albert has drained the books of every laugh and added several of his own, so that “Lena Rivers” becomes one of the j greatest comedies in years.
