The meeting was opened by the president, Mrs. Warren Cayttood, The nominating committee submitted the names of new officers for the coming year and the following were elected: President. Mrs. Warren Caywood, vice-presi-dent, Mrs. Gilbert O'Hair; treasurer, Mrs. Jesse Cowger and secretary, Mrs. Charles Conger. Miss Marjorie Porter, Nutntion Feild Representative of the American Red Cross, will visit the Putnam County Chapter on Monday and Tuesday of next week. She wishes to meet with anyone in the community who is interested in a course in nutiition, which will Include food needs and food value, as well as plan:for making the food dollars count
for health.
Class meetings probably will be held from 7:30 to 9:30 on consecutive Monday evenings for six to twelve weeks, depending on the wishes of the members of the class. A meeting, conducted by Miss Porter, will be held on Monday evening. October 14th, at 7:30 o’clock, in the Red Cross office, located on the east side of the Court House square, over th" Root Store. The Indiana OPA District Includes all of ihF state except Lake County. The new order known as “Order G-4I under Section 23 of Maximum 'Price Regulation 592" is in effect now. There are 38 different kinds of concrete blocks and they are used extensively in construction work in Indiana, more extensively on account of the shortage of other structural materials.
