Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Gardner were Indianapolis visitors, Wednesday of last week. Barbara Ann Leonard and Mildred Lou Clodfelter attended a meeting of the Order of Rainhow Girls at Marshall Wednesday evening. M.r. and Mrs. Willis Clodfelter and son and Mr and Mrs. Paul McGaughey and son attended the Illinois Polled Hereford Breeders Association annual sale that was held at the DuQuoin St. Fair Fair Grounds, Saturday. They went Friday morning and returned Sunday night. They purchased some fine cattle that were delivered Monday.

Dear Sir: I note in your column in the ' Banner you want a museum for : Putnam county. ,1 think this is a good idea and if properly managed would bring out a lot of interesting articles and would rank high in eduea- j tional value. For my part I have a collection of several hundred choice I specimens of minerals from 4.0 states from Maine to California and a large collection of Putnam county fossils and minerals | that I would loan to a museum. I do not think most Putnam people realize the number of interesting fossils and beautiful minerals that can be found in cur county. Sincerely Waiter Reeves
