OKLAHOMA CITY AIR TECHNICAL SERVICE COMMAND, TINKER FIELD, Okla., April 13—Now stationed at Tinker Field is Cpl. Margaret Durham, formerly of Putnam Coun ty Ind. She is assigned as a weather observer at this mode! estabhshment of the Air Tech nical Service Command for teh maintenance and repair of air craft and the training of air do pot groups. Corporal Durham is a graduate of Greencastle (Ind.) High School and she holds an A. B degree from DePauw University, Greencastle. Prior to enlisting in the Women's Army Corps in April, 1943, she was employed by the Norton Company, Worcester, Mass., in the experimental department. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Everett Durham, 309 East Seminary Street Greencastle. She has a brother, J. Frank Durham, who is also a member of the armed service Corporal Durham was transferred to QCATSC from Bergetrom Field, Texas.

obituary Christopher Edward Knauer, eldest child of Clement B. and Evelyn Knauer was born Februaiy 13, 1863, died Feb. 18, 1945. His parents, brother Oscar, Jacob F., John W. and sister Florence had passed away previously. He was married to Clara E. Ford, Seneca, Kansas, August 1st, 1889. To this union six children were born, Ella, Elsie, and Lorene, preceding him in death. His survivors are his wife, Clara, sons, Earl and Cecil, all of Grieencastle, R. R. 3, and daughter, Mrs. Winnie L. Arnold, Indianapolis; twenty-six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. His brothers Joe, Bud and George of Greencastle; sister, Mrs. Martha Ford, Seneca, Kansas; Mrs. Minnie Layman, Coatesville, Ind.; Mrs. Osa Berry, Rockville, Ind., and a host of relatives and friends. Eight grandsons and four grandsons-in-law are in the service, most of them overseas. He taught school 30 years which he enjoyed very much. He j was always glad to meet former I pupils. He was a member of the i Greencastle Masonic Lodge and Modern Woodman Lodge of Bainbridge, Ind. Elder Oscar Irwin had charge of the funeral services, Mrs. Paul Robinson played and Mrs. Irwin and Mrs. Graver sang two songs. Pall bearers were Masonic brothers, Clay Brothers, Walter n Brown, Charley Huffman, Chas. McCurry, James Walker and Fred Starr. Charles McCurry was the undertaker; six granddaughters were flower bearers. Burial was in Little Walnut cemetery.
